Zuzia is a multimedia storyteller, with a background in media relations and digital communications. She specializes in working with human rights organizations and campaigns to strategically communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
Zuzia started off her career in newsrooms, reporting out of the Warsaw bureau of The Associated Press and National Geographic Poland. She has supported and led media relations for international advocacy organizations, for high-level activists including Nobel Peace Laureates, and a national political campaign.
As lead producer on high-profile international multimedia projects, Zuzia has developed creative and effective campaigns for advocacy purposes, including photo and video documentary, written publications, and calls to action.
Zuzia has managed the digital presence and social media strategies of Nobel Women’s Initiative and successfully launched the website and social media channels of the International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict. She developed full branding, all communications products still in-use today, and online membership drive and awareness raising tool for the new campaign.
In 2014, Zuzia developed a multimedia travelling exhibit, Beauty in the Middle: Women of Congo Speak Out, that launched at the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict. She created the strategy behind the project, acting as the field producer, and curating the photo and video exhibit. The exhibit has been featured by The Guardian, BBC, and CBC. Zuzia provides training on media relations and using digital communications for advocacy.
She holds an M.A. in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College London (UK) and a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science from Concordia University (Canada). Zuzia is an issue specialist on ending sexual violence in conflict.
